Edwin Crossley-Mercer, the celebrated Franco-Irish baritone, will share his experience and passion with four singers from the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris in a unique masterclass at the Studio Bastille.
From his debut at the prestigious Glyndebourne, Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg festivals to his performances with the renowned orchestras of Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London and Los Angeles, Crossley-Mercer's exemplary musicality has enabled him to embrace a vast repertoire of roles, from Mozart, Rossini, Handel and Rameau to Berg, Britten, Strauss, Verdi and Wagner. He also performs the most beautiful pages of the French repertoire, by Gounod, Massenet and Meyerbeer. In baroque, classical and contemporary styles, Edwin has collaborated with some of today's finest conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons, Philippe Jordan, Riccardo Minasi, Leonardo García Alarcón, Daniel Harding, Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Mark Elder.
